Overview
An owner of an ageing mobile crane approaching its 10-year design life needed a major inspection to AS 2550 to continue operating it legally. NDT Australia performed the full major inspection, including NDT of structural and mechanical components and engineering assessment.
The crane was found to be structurally sound with minor rectifiable items, and was recertified for continued service — deferring a costly replacement.
