Inspection of loaders focuses on load-bearing structures, attachment points, pins and wear interfaces, with NDT used where visual examination cannot answer the condition question.
Overview
For loaders, the agreed scope is informed by duty cycle, attachments, impact history, service records and known fatigue locations. Visual examination can be supplemented by MPI, ECT or UT where material, access and defect orientation make those methods suitable.
NDT Australia records the areas examined, methods used, findings and limitations in a clear report. Where the agreed scope calls for engineering input, the report can be provided for review by the responsible engineer or competent person.

Planning the Inspection
Mobile-plant inspection is most useful when the equipment is clean and accessible, attachments and modifications are identified, and previous findings are available for comparison.
