Overview
For dozers, the agreed scope is informed by duty cycle, attachments, impact history, service records and known fatigue locations. Visual examination can be supplemented by MPI, ECT or UT where material, access and defect orientation make those methods suitable.
NDT Australia records the areas examined, methods used, findings and limitations in a clear report. Where the agreed scope calls for engineering input, the report can be provided for review by the responsible engineer or competent person.
